Database Schema

Database Schema

The files used in this analysis were stored in three main folders. The ControlGp folder stored all files relating to the control group. The eCog_Segmentation folder stored all files relating to the multiresolution segmentation algorithm, and the original complejo boundaries were stored in the OriginalDivisions folder.

Within the control group folder, there was a separate folder where the instructions and tutorial given to the control group were kept. The "Union" folder contained the polygons generated by the union, and a "tables" folder within this contained the exported attribute tables used in quantitative analysis.

The eCog_Segmentation folder contained a folder with the base rasters used in the eCognition segmentation. Outputs from the algorithm were stored in one of several folders named to reflect the base raster and color parameter used in the iteration. (See section on naming conventions for more information on how outputs were organized.) The UnionResults folder contained the shapefiles generated from the union table, and a "tables" folder within this stored the exported attribute tables from these unions. These unions were created by combining the algorithm output with the original complejo divisions, and the GT_Only folder contained similar union results from comparisons to the ground truthed complejos only.

The two map files were stored in the main folder.
