Regional and Local Base Maps
The map below represents the base map for the regional scale cost path analysis in Michoacán, Mexico. The local scale (intra-site) analysis is not represented in its specifically location to protect the area from looting. Instead, this map identifies a generalized area for where SA1 archaeological site is located. The northeastern portion of the map identifies a general region from where corridors in the obsidian mining region would have generated (polygon in yellow).
